There are different ways of managing your cables and you may need to consider which approach you will take before installing your mount onto the wall.Surface coverings: The easiest cable management solution is to cover your wires with cable covers. These are coverings which stick to your wall over your cables. Usually made out of plastic, they are available in varying thicknesses and are typically paintable.Concealing in hollow walls: If you are mounting your TV on a stud or partition wall you may choose to run your cables in the hollow space between studs. You can so this by drilling a hole close to where the wall plate of your mount will be and threading your cables through the hollow space to emerge lower down your wall. Depending on the size of the hollow gap however you may have difficulty in threading thicker cables or end connectors. Make sure you check for pipes and wires before drilling, and ensure the screws of the wall plate of your mount are fixed into a wooden stud.Concealing in solid walls: If you are mounting your TV on a solid wall you can conceal your cables by cutting or chiseling out a channel within your wall in which to run your cables. Simply plaster over the channel and repaint to achieve a smooth finish.
