JACK DAY Sepia photograph of the Hayloft Hoedown star, shown in a suit with cowboy hat Photograph signed: «Luck/Jack Day.» Sepia tone, 8×10¼ overall, image 7×9 (one surface). Captioned at lower margin: «Jack Day, Star of Hayloft Hoedown/A.B.C. Network Coast to Coast». Day starred on Hayloft Hoedown, a country variety show, in 1948. Entertainer Jack Day began his career by touring for nine years with his brother, Charlie, as acrobats. The duo played the Palace Theatre on Broadway nine times in one year, but they found even greater success when they introduced songs into their act. Jack, who also appeared on the radio and recorded for Columbia Records as part of the Eton Boys, appeared in several film «shorts» as well as two features, Mirrors (1934) and A Great Idea (1935).
